Dal Palak
'Dal Palak' is a wonderful combination of spinach & lentils.This dal palak tastes great with both roti and rice. It is nutritious and good for kids. No garlic or no onion on this so vegetarians will love it.
Ingredients
Spinach,finely chopped 15-20 leaves

Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal) 3/4 cup
Turmeric Powder (Haldi) 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
For Tempering
Ghee 2 tbsp
Asafoetida (Hing) a pinch
Bay leaves 2
Whole red chili 2
Salt to taste
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Method
1. Pressure cook dal with pinch of turmeric & salt for 1 whistle.

2. After pressure subsides open the lid and add palak. & again pressure cook it for 1 whistle.
3. Now heat ghee on a wok. Add asafoetida, bay leaves, whole red chilies, and the dal. Then add sugar and salt as per taste. Then simmer for 5-6 mins. when everything boil remove from fire.
4. Serve it with rice or steamed rice.
