Anar Dana-Boondi Raita
'Raita' is an Indian condiment based on yogurt. It is seasoned with coriander, roasted cumin powder & other herbs & spices. It is taken with main course meal. Raita is taken generally after meal because yogurt is good for digestion.
Ingredients
Yogurt (dahi) 1 cup
Pomegranate seeds (Anar-dana), washed 1/2 cup
Boondi 1/2 cup
Black salt (kala namak) 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Roasted Cumin Powder (Jeera Pawder) 1 tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Method
1.Take warm milk soak boondi for 2 mins.
2. Beat the yogurt.
3. Then add black salt, salt, sugar& roasted cumin powder.
4. Add boondi-milk & pomegranate seeds and mix well.
5. Garnish with chopped coriander & sprinkle roasted cumin powder.
6. Serve chilled with biryani, pulao or paratha.
